This year’s exhibition features a diverse range of sectors, including intelligent buildings, intelligent building materials, AI solutions, an international pavilion, the Golden Quality Award zone, and dedicated exhibition areas for Taiwan’s six special municipalities. With 378 booths and more than 70 exhibitors, the event showcases the latest applications driving the transformation of the building industry—from building energy efficiency and low-carbon materials to intelligent management, AI, and smart construction technologies.

The exhibition also connects key topics such as smart health, net-zero buildings, energy-efficient housing, and smart cities. Through international forums and cross-border exchanges, participants explore sustainable development strategies and opportunities for international collaboration in response to global climate change.

Dr. Wen Show-Ling, President of the Taiwan Intelligent Building Association (TIBA), stated that this year’s event is the first international professional exhibition in Asia centered on sustainable intelligent buildings and intelligent building materials. From the exhibition and forums to international exchanges, the event has been organized through the collective efforts of the team, with strong support from the Architecture and Building Research Institute, Ministry of the Interior, and partners across the industry.

Dr. Wen also emphasized that AI is rapidly entering the building sector and becoming a key driver of industry transformation, with applications spanning smart health, energy-efficient housing, smart construction sites, and smart cities.

The exhibition features a comprehensive series of events, including the Opening Ceremony & Global Keynote, the 2026 International Summit on Intelligent and Net-Zero Buildings, the AECOM Forum, the AI Construction Robotics and Smart Construction Forum, as well as the Outstanding Intelligent Building Awards Ceremony and Award-Winning Project Presentations. Together, these programs address policy, technology, industry development, and real-world applications, presenting a comprehensive outlook on the future of next-generation buildings.

The exhibition also highlights achievements under Taiwan’s Intelligent Building Materials Label program. As of 2026, more than 40 companies and over 81 products have received the label, with certified products applied in more than 50 intelligent building projects. These achievements demonstrate Taiwan’s growing capabilities in advancing intelligent building materials and technologies from product certification to real-world implementation.

Beyond showcasing intelligent building materials, AI-powered building technologies, and energy management applications, the event features international forums and summits designed to foster collaboration among government, industry, academia, and research institutions. Through these exchanges, 2026 Build for NextGen aims to establish a new platform connecting Taiwan’s sustainable intelligent building industry with global markets.
